Course Overview

A self-paced, CIT-based mental health crisis response course for fire service and EMS personnel, adapted from the Memphis Model of Crisis Intervention Team training for medical-first responders. Covers recognizing behavioral emergencies and excited delirium red flags, scene safety without escalation, CIT de-escalation adapted to patient care, suicide risk in the field, working the crisis system (988, mobile crisis, ED alternatives), and a dedicated peer-support and responder-wellness module. Sequential navigation with seat-time tracking is enforced. Pre-assessment opens the course; the same instrument closes it as the certificate-gating post-assessment, with per-module knowledge checks.
